Statefinders, higher-order energy conditions, and sudden future singularities.

چکیده
We link observational parameters such as the deceleration parameter, the jerk, the kerk (snap) and higher-order derivatives of the scale factor, called statefinders, to the conditions which allow to develop sudden future singularities of pressure with finite energy density. In this context, and within the framework of Friedmann cosmology, we also propose higher-order energy conditions which relate time derivatives of the energy density and pressure which may be useful in general relativity. ∗[email protected]

Geometrical Constraints on Dark Energy
We explore the recently introduced statefinder parameters. After reviewing their basic properties, we calculate the statefinder parameters for a variety of cosmological models, and investigate their usefulness as a means of theoretical classification of dark energy models. We then go on to consider their use in obtaining constraints on dark energy from present and future supernovae type Ia data...
متن کاملMore General Sudden Singularities
We present a general form for the solution of an expanding generalrelativistic Friedmann universe that encounters a singularity at finite future time. The singularity occurs in the material pressure and acceleration whilst the scale factor, expansion rate and material density remain finite and the strong energy condition holds. We also show that the same phenomenon occurs, but under different c...

The future singularities are possible in a universe that is described by F(R) theory. In previous studies the occurrence of the singularities in F(R) theory have been considered by using a special function for the Hubble parameter and calculating the F(R) function for each of the singularities. Using the specified Hubble parameter causes some difficulties in the study of the second law of therm...
متن کاملThe fate of bound systems through Sudden Future Singularities
Sudden singularities occur in FRW spacetimes when the scale factor remains finite and different from zero while some of its derivatives diverge. After proper rescaling, the scale factor close to such a singularity at t = 0 takes the form a(t) = 1 + c|t| (where c and η are parameters and η ≥ 0). We investigate analytically and numerically the geodesics of free and gravitationally bound particles...
متن کامل“ Expansion ” around the vacuum : how far can we go from Λ ?
The cosmological constant (Λ), i.e., the energy density stored in the true vacuum state of all existing fields in the Universe, is the simplest and the most natural possibility to describe the current cosmic acceleration. However, despite its observational successes, such a possibility exacerbates the well known Λ problem, requiring a natural explanation for its small, but nonzero, value. In th...
